Paving the road for Tyranny

This morning comes more evidence for the gradual road to tyranny, which as I have argued, historians will look back and see the key pieces put into place during this administration. Sen Specter slipped a little noticed amendment into the reauthorized Patriot act which allows the President to replace any US Attorney with his own choice without congressional approval. It is a temporary appointment which can last forever! I am not kidding. This too will be abused by future presidents as we march down the road of dictatorship. What happens if a campaign booster is being prosecuted? Replace the prosecutor with your own choice and what can Congress do? Nothing!
