The parents are under suspicion, which you can follow here. Gerry McCann has a blog telling his side of the story. Are they guilty? Search me. It is particularly damning to have Madeleine's hair in the trunk (boot) of a rental car that they took out 25 days after her disappearance. On the other hand if it was an accidental death (like an overdose of sleeping pills), they have to be two of the best actors in history and did a remarkable job of hiding the body and then disposing of it under incredibly intense media scrutiny. Quite incomprehensible.
