But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings as eagles. They shall run and not be weary. They shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40.31

Stephen Curtis Chapman on Adoption
Great column from Mr. Chapman on the spiritual argument for adoption. He has been an advocate of adoption for a long time, but this is the first time I've read about how he got interested in it. Fascinating story.
This is a good article and I applaud Steven Curtis Chapman for his work in this area. How sad about his youngest! Our adoption journey has certainly been difficult, but drawn us closer to the Lord. One thing we've discovered is that many people are very interested in adoption, until they discover that in many countries (like Japan) it's very difficult, if not impossible to adopt infants. Older orphans need parents and the Lord, just as much as babies. It's sad that many orphan infants are not available due to governmental policy, both in the US and overseas. Hopefully our boys will grow into the realization that they need the Lord more than anything, including parents! Dave
Thanks for the comment! I saw the Chapmans on Larry King and was impressed with both their compassion and honesty about struggling through the death of Maria.
