(My) New Theory: Terrorism

I'm pondering the downing of Air France Flight 447 and my new theory is that it was an act of terrorism. Aircraft don't just fall out of the sky, and to think that it disappeared due to turbulence and/or lightning just doesn't make sense. They would have had time to report something like that. What could cause sudden catastrophic failure at a location that will be very difficult to find out anything or recover any evidence? A bomb. I'm wondering if the authorities don't suspect this behind the scenes, but obviously they can't say it out loud because it would cause panic.
