Pierced By the Lord

Jeremiah 25.33 today. One of those verses we'd rather not have in the Bible. God's judgment comes down on his own people. Those who are slaughtered by the Babylonian army "shall not be lamented, or gathered, or buried."

How foolish we are if we do not take God's judgment seriously. He is righteous. He cannot let sin go unpunished or he would not be.

Yes, that is a scary thought. I've been going through Jeremiah myself. Maybe I should write about it. Hope things are well.

You should! My mom told us at her 80th birthday that what she regrets most is that she didn't write, write, write. My thinking is that you blog, write, facebook, etc. not for your kids (who will not be interested) but for your grandkids, and great grandkids. The only way I know about my great-great grandfather who was a frontier preacher in Missouri, is through a journal that he kept. One of our relatives constructed a small book about it.
