How Germany Postponed Global Warming...for Seven Hours

This article is actually about the irresponsible (and one might argue immoral) use of food to power vehicles (attention ethanol lobby).

What struck me is how often policies have unintended consequences, often times negative unintended consequences. The author points out one such consequence in the course of the article:

Germany led the world in putting up solar panels, funded by $75 billion in subsidies. The result? Inefficient, uncompetitive solar technology sitting on rooftops in a cloudy country, delivering a trivial 0.1 per cent of Germany's total energy supply, and postponing the effects of global warming by seven hours in 2100.

Hahahaha....I like this guy.

Global (Non) Warming, or, Why You Should Know History

An excellent summary of the past 100 years of global warming, then cooling, then warming again, and now apparently cooling again. How about a history lesson or two, main stream media, and global warming theorists.

A Global Warming Wedgie

I believe that this Physics professor emeritus sums it up pretty well when he says:

Global warming is the greatest and most successful pseudoscientific fraud I have seen in my long life.'

See No Scientific Fraud; Hear No Scientific Fraud

So; after exhaustive investigation all of the scientists involved in the Great Global Warming Fraud are exonerated. Hahahahahahahahahaha......

Mr. Jones emailed later that he had "deleted loads of emails" so that anyone who might bring a Freedom of Information Act request would get very little. According to New Scientist writer Fred Pearce, "Russell and his team never asked Jones or his colleagues whether they had actually done this."

The Russell report states that "On the allegation of withholding temperature data, we find that the CRU was not in a position to withhold access to such data." Really? Here's what CRU director Jones wrote to Australian scientist Warrick Hughes in February 2005: "We have 25 years or so invested in the work. Why should I make the data available to you, when your aim is to try and find something wrong with it[?]"

Of course, Mr. Russell didn't look to see if the ugly pressure tactics discussed in the Climategate emails had any consequences. That's because they only interviewed CRU people, not the people whom they had trashed.

Hahahahahahahahahahaha.......

Cracks in the Walls of Science

One of the things that the global warming scandal has done is produce cracks in the walls for all of science in regards to how much jealousy and backbiting science is affected with. It's quite obvious that the leading global warming scientists were doing their best to keep opposing views from mainstream global warming journals. What I find interesting about this article is that this behavior apparently goes beyond just global warming science.

A couple of pertinent quotations:

Scientists sometimes like to portray what they do as divorced from the everyday jealousies, rivalries and tribalism of human relationships. What makes science special is that data and results that can be replicated are what matters and the scientific truth will out in the end.

This is what science would have you believe.

Cracks in the system have been obvious for years. Yesterday it emerged that 14 leading researchers in a different field – stem cell research – have written an open letter to journal editors to highlight their dissatisfaction with the process. They allege that a small scientific clique is using peer review to block papers from other researchers.

So this scandal goes beyond just global warming (non) science. This is what I find most fascinating. It appears that science is infected with the same maladies as the rest of mankind, jealousies, tribalism, power plays, etc.

Global Warming Skeletons Starting to Pile Up

The scientist behind the claims that Himalayan glaciers would melt by 2035 admits that he knew that the claim was bogus and put it in the report for political reasons. I'm so glad that science is not susceptible to politics and manipulation.

More Proof that "Global Warming Science" Should be in Quotation Marks

Unbelievable article that explains how a "scientific report" from the IPCC stating that Himalyan glaciers would melt by 2035 was based on an article in a popular science magazine which was based on a phone conversation with some guy in India who has since said that he was speculating. Glad to see that the IPCC was involved in rigorous scientific analysis by hearsay.

Global Warming? No. A Mini Ice Age

So much for global warming. It appears that the earth is on the downside of it's normal trend of getting slightly warmer, then slightly cooler, then warmer again. Look for the scientists of the 2020's to be hysterical about a new ice age, no doubt due to greenhouse gases.

Obama: The Time for Talk is Over

China and India: Sounds good. We're out of here.

The wheels come off of the Copenhagen talks.

Al Gore: Investigator

Al Gore has investigated the whole climate change scandal and declared it all a tempest in a teapot. Al: "Those letters are from 10 years ago." Reality: Many are from two months ago. Glad to see he has investigated everything carefully.

Global Warming Fraudsters

A good article at American Thinker pointing out the fraudulent nature of the global warming crowd.

I'm sure glad that Gordon Brown, prime minister of England, isn't confused by the facts. Those who question the climate change crowd are "flat-earthers" and "anti-science." Nope, Mr. Brown, we're just anti-fraudulent science, unlike you.

Climate Change "Comrades" Under Assault

Finally! A Brit professor begins to speak the truth plainly. I like how he calls the climate change people "comrades."

One of the leading "scientists" decides to "step down" while the matter is investigated, which I take to mean, "jump in a bunker until the issue goes away."

The best roundup of everything that is going on can be found here.

Climate Czar: Don't Confuse me with the Facts, My Mind's Made Up

A few small problems like manipulated data and collusion between "scientists" is not going to stand in the way of accepted dogma for Carol Browner, erstwhile Climate Czar. The science is established (by fraud and manipulation). Something must be done!

More on Global (Non) Warming

The Washington Times has a good editorial on the issue today. Including this excellent point: Mr. Mann admitted that he was party to this conversation and lamely explained to the New York Times that "scientists often used the word 'trick' to refer to a good way to solve a problem 'and not something secret.' " Yeah, right, Mr. Mann. I believe that explanation.

Fortunately for us, President Obama has no interest at all in the revelations about scientific fudging, collusion, and criminal disregard for the Freedom of Information Act. An agreement on climate change is close! Whew, I was worried that we might be more concerned about economic growth than we are about implementing idiotic policies based on fraudulent data. Thanks for saving us, Mr. President!

Meanwhile, Ed Begley goes postal on Fox News.

Global Warming = Fraud

American Thinker has a good summary of the issue so far. Leading "scientists" (read fraudsters) manipulated data, criminally resisted FOIA requests, and colluded with each other ("hey, could you erase all those emails from me...including this one") to perpetrate fraud on the world community. Serious black eye for science. If I were a scientist I would demand a thorough investigation and house cleansing. I'm wondering if that's what we'll see.

As the Washington Post points out, two of the perpetrators cannot be reached for comment. Big surprise there.

Neither Jones nor Santer could be reached for comment.

Global Warming in Hot Water

Someone hacked into Britain's leading Climate Research Unit and posted a bunch of emails/files online. If they are genuine, they are certainly damning. I wonder if Al Gore is going to weigh in.

Cap and Trade (the Economy)

While the U. S. Congress is set to implode the economy by passing an idiotic cap and trade bill on carbon emissions in order to prevent global warming, the rest of the world is finally admitting that the issue is a load of horse manure.

One important point from the second article. Notice that science is rapidly becoming political rather than, um, scientific:

Joanne Simpson, the world's first woman to receive a Ph.D. in meteorology, expressed relief upon her retirement last year that she was finally free to speak "frankly" of her nonbelief.

and

A group of 54 noted physicists, led by Princeton's Will Happer, is demanding the American Physical Society revise its position that the science is settled. (Both Nature and Science magazines have refused to run the physicists' open letter.)

I'm glad that there is no dogma in science and the scientists just go where the evidence points them, and it's nice to see that our leading scientific journals are so political...oops, I mean fair, unbiased and rigorously scientific.

And it is a surprise to anyone that Al Gore is one of the cheerleaders of what a real scientist called "the worst scientific scandal in history?"
