Until rates go up, Wall Street will be chowing down on essentially free money, while fixed-income people living off their investments will have to eat into their capital, take more risk or reduce their standard of living. A nice reward from their government for a lifetime of saving. Thanks for nothing, guys.
But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings as eagles. They shall run and not be weary. They shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40.31

The Fed's Gift to Savers
The Fed's gift to savers is unprintable, but the editor of Fortune magazine tones it down in the Washington Post. Good article.

Pathetic, Mr. President!
Let me get this straight. President Obama is going to spend 4 trillion (4 thousand billion) dollars this year, but being a frugal money manager, he is going to get his cabinet heads to save a collective 100 million dollars? Are you joking me? Not even the press is buying this load of crapola, and if the press isn't buying it, then you KNOW it's pathetic. As the article notes:
The thrifty measures Obama ordered for federal agencies are the equivalent of asking a family that spends $60,000 in a year to save $6.
