Waterboarding a Conservative Radio Host

So a conservative radio host decides to get himself waterboarded to prove that it isn't torture. What did he decide after lasting 7 seconds? It's torture.

"I wanted to prove it wasn't torture," Mancow said. "They cut off our heads, we put water on their face...I got voted to do this but I really thought 'I'm going to laugh this off.' "

The upshot? "It is way worse than I thought it would be, and that's no joke," Mancow told listeners. "It is such an odd feeling to have water poured down your nose with your head back...It was instantaneous...and I don't want to say this: absolutely torture."

Waterboarding IS Torture

Christopher Hitchens has been a supporter of the Bush "War on Terror" from the beginning so it's pretty significant that he undergoes waterboarding himself and declares in no uncertain terms that it is torture:

I apply the Abraham Lincoln test for moral casuistry: “If slavery is not wrong, nothing is wrong.” Well, then, if waterboarding does not constitute torture, then there is no such thing as torture.

I've always said that if our fearless leaders (Bush, Cheney, Gonzalez, Rumsfeld) felt that waterboarding was not torture that they should lead by example and undergo it themselves. So much for our moral leadership in the world...
