For Unto You Is Born This Day!

I rarely get much time around Christmas to meditate on its meaning. I am usually working - as I am today, stuck in Lacrosse, WI on the dreariest day imaginable - and do not have much time to be still and quiet and think.
Two of my favorite passages dealing with Christ and his coming...

For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you by his poverty might become rich
(2Corinthians 8.9 ESV)

And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.”
(Luke 2.10-11 KJVS)

"Come thou long expected Jesus, come and set they people free." Charles Welsey

Merry Christmas!
