The Face of a Failed Abortion

I haven't heard this young lady speak, but I would certainly love to do so. One of the few survivors of a saline abortion, she is thriving now and her own daughter was born in the hospital in which they attempted to abort her. Weird, but life-affirming.

100 Million 'Missing' Girls

Jeff Jacobey writes in the Boston Globe about the global war on women via selective birth, a tragedy brought about by the dark side of modern science. Ultrasound allows one to find out the babies gender before it is born, which also allows one to abort a female baby if she is not wanted. This is beginning to skew the numbers of men to women in some areas of China by as much as 124 to 100. What does one do with a huge population of men with no prospects for marriage? This does not bode well for the future.

The Chinese writer Xinran Xue writes in a new book, “Message from an Unkown Chinese Mother,’’ about visiting a peasant family in Shandong while the mother is giving birth. The baby turns out to be a girl, and Xinran hears a man’s voice mutter: “Useless thing!’’ To her horror, the “useless thing’’ is thrown into a pail of slops to be drowned.

That’s a living child,’’ I said in a shaking voice, pointing at the slops pail.

“It’s not a child,’’ she corrected me. “It’s a girl baby, and we can’t keep it. Around these parts, you can’t get by without a son. Girl babies don’t count.’’

Feminists: Susan B. Anthony was not against Abortion

Truth: No matter what the motive, love of ease, or a desire to save from suffering the unborn innocent, the woman is awfully guilty who commits the deed. It will burden her conscience in life, it will burden her soul in death; but oh! thrice guilty is he who, for selfish gratification…drove her to the desperation which impelled her to the crime. Tim Tebow Ties the Lefties Up in Knots

This is a brilliant analysis of the "controversy" created when someone tries to send out a message that life is precious and ought not to be discarded carelessly. The author does a brilliant job of skewering the disconnect between what people say and what they do.

A great example:

In terms of Super Bowl ads, "sexist" is code for "anti-abortion." But "sexist" does not apply to parading women around in their underpants to sell beer.

Do you got that? Leftist women's organizations don't mind the exploitation of women for purposes of selling beer, but talk about abortion and you've head it, buddy!

How Pro-Choice is America?

According to an admitted pro-choice advocate America is not very pro-choice and has never been so. A fascinating must read article in which a pro-choice advocate admits some truths that are understood, but never admitted, by most of the pro-choice side.

Motive in the Owosso Double Murder

Mlive.com has a possible motive in the Owosso double murder (and planned triple murder). Let me get this straight, he didn't want high school kids to have to look at graphic photos of aborted babies on the way to school, so he made them witness a real, live, graphic murder. Makes sense to me.

Jim was certainly a polarizing figure and I questioned the wisdom of his approach to opposing abortion. I think the hundreds of crisis pregnancy centers around the country are a better way to go. However, what Mr. Pouillon did do was force the public to witness, day after day, the reality of what is going on with abortion on demand. Naturally, most of the public did not want to see this.

No Mr. President!

John Piper puts it so eloquently, I will leave it at that.

The Kennedy Family and Abortion

When history looks back to this era it should recognize this generation as one which cared about human beings enough to halt the practice of war, to provide a decent living for every family, and to fulfill its responsibility to its children from the very moment of conception.

Words penned by none other than Ted Kennedy to a constituent in 1971. Wow, what changed him from a pro-life to a pro-abortion senator? We have a clear answer from Anne Hendershott, writing in the Wall Street Journal. Fascinating.

At a meeting at the Kennedy compound in Hyannisport, Mass., on a hot summer day in 1964, the Kennedy family and its advisers and allies were coached by leading theologians and Catholic college professors on how to accept and promote abortion with a "clear conscience."

The theologians worked for a day and a half among ourselves at a nearby hotel. In the evening we answered questions from the Kennedys and the Shrivers. Though the theologians disagreed on many a point, they all concurred on certain basics . . . and that was that a Catholic politician could in good conscience vote in favor of abortion.

Al Mohler lists the result of the meeting: This is a chilling account of a meeting that, without any doubt, contributed to the deaths of countless unborn babies. At this meeting the Kennedy family was handed a theological rationale that served as political cover. It was a rationale that allowed this powerful family to put its influence in service of abortion rights, even as family members continued to claim identity as members of their church.

Obama on Infanticide

An article exploring Obama's convoluted reasoning on (not) protecting aborted infants when they are born alive. Sad.

Calling Evil Good

Any article that headlines as "Reclaiming the Morality of Abortion" should make us cringe. Haven't I heard of this somewhere before? Oh, yeah. Isaiah 5:20.

Obama's Record on Abortion

Is sad...pathetic...unbelievable. Justin Taylor at Between Two Worlds has a link to video of him promising to sign the Freedom of Choice Act ("freedom" in parentheses of course because the baby has no choice), and the consequences of that promise.

Why I Cannot Vote for Obama

I have a problem with Obama, so do evangelical black pastors. I will never vote for someone who favors sucking the brains out of babies in order to abort them - or any method of abortion for that matter. Not that I'm going to vote for John McCain either who seems so strained and put out when he speaks on social issues.

You Won't See This on the Evening News

A sad, tragic story. Girl gets pregnant with twins. Boyfriend reacts badly. Girl gets abortion..
then depression. Then hangs herself.
